Museum Hours of Operation and Admission Rates

Planetarium shows:

  • Children’s show Zula Patrol: Down to Earth at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – based on the PBS show, understand the earth and its place in space.
  • Back to the Moon... For Good! at 1 p.m. – explore the past, present, and future of lunar exploration
  • Astronaut at 3 p.m. – narrated by Ewan McGregor. Discover what it takes to live, work, and train like an astronaut.
  • Search for Life: Are We Alone? at 4 p.m. – narrated by Harrison Ford. Look for life in our solar system and discover other planetary systems where life may exist.

Manitoba Museum Hands-on activities in the Boeing Explore Science Zone from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • ·“Build a rocket”  – two levels of air-powered rockets
  • ·“LEGO Mars Rover” robotic demonstrations
  • ·“Space Suit Glove Box” activities
  • ·Space model display, including a full-scale replica of Sputnik 1, the first earth satellite
  • ·Other cool stuff!

Beginner Rocket Construction (Ages 11-13), 11:00 a.m. to Noon ($20)
