A micro-satellite designed and built in Canada could save the world someday – if it ever gets off the ground, scientists say.

The Near Earth Object Surveillance Satellite – or NEOSSat – is the first space telescope in the world dedicated to tracking asteroids that could smash into our planet.

The Canadian Space Agency and Defence Research and Development Canada collaborated on the project that will monitor our crowded corner of space.  Read more at the Montreal Gazette.
