Just weeks after it outlined the importance of the country's space industry in its throne speech, the Harper government is moving ahead with a $27-million space program that industry representatives say provides almost no direct benefit for domestic firms.

The Defence Department project to purchase receiver stations for satellite imagery requires the winning company to send only 10 per cent of the work to Canadian firms as part of the program's direct industrial benefits package.  Read more at the Ottawa Citizen.
