Part of the three-year strategic plan for the Canadian Space Society developed in 2017 called for the formation of a Space Policy Committee as part of the SHAPE line of operation.*
This committee will consist of CSS members and involve quarterly discussions and annual meetings with a view to publishing an annual space policy statement for Canada.
Chaired by Wayne Ellis, Past-President of the Canadian Space Society, the formation of this committee marks the first milestone leading towards this strategic objective.
