Canadian Space Summit 2019 Call for Sessions

The Canadian Space Society invites you to submit a proposal for a Session at the 2019 Canadian Space Summit in Ottawa. This year’s theme, “From LEO to Lunar” covers a number of exciting developments in Space, from expanding commercial activities in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to both public and private endeavours to return to the Moon and establish an ongoing human presence.

We invite you to submit a short abstract (150-250 words) to define a space or satellite topic for a 60- or 90-minute session during the Summit. The abstract must include:

  • Title
  • Format of your session (e.g., panel speakers, five-minute lightning talks, armchair discussion),
  • Proposed duration
  • Confirmed or proposed speakers/participants

***Deadline Extended*** Please submit your abstract to [email protected] by midnight Aug 31st (Pacific Time). Sessions will be chosen based on its alignment with the Summit theme, level of interest or excitement, relevance to the Canadian Space community and fit with the overall Summit program.

Selected Sessions may be placed in any of the concurrent events:

  1. Canadian Space Summit
  2. Canadian Space Policy Symposium
  3. Satcom Canada

A member of the Local Organizing Committee will contact proponents of successful sessions by September 2019 with further details related to registration costs, date and time of the session on the program schedule and other pertinent details. Any questions can be sent by email to [email protected].
